Tasting Notes: Honey, Peach, Apricot, Orange Marmalade, Floral

Sail east to the Ethiopian highlands with this complex, fruit-forward coffee from the famed Duromina cooperative.

Our Ethiopia Agaro Duromina is roasted to a balanced medium roast, highlighting juicy stone fruit flavors of peach and apricot, a tangy lift of orange marmalade, and delicate floral aromatics. Underneath it all, a honey-like sweetness ties every sip together. Medium roasting brings out Duromina’s natural complexity while adding a round body and cocoa undertone, making this cup both lively and comforting.

The Story Behind Duromina

Duromina—meaning “Make More Money” in Afan Oromo—was formed by farmers in the Goma region of Agaro Woreda with support from agronomists and advisors. Over the years, the cooperative has reinvested in quality improvements, ensuring fair returns to farmer-members while consistently producing some of Western Ethiopia’s most celebrated coffees.

Today, Duromina operates under the Kata Muduga Union, representingfarmer leadership and dedication to sustainability, quality, and community prosperity.
